The insider's guide to Cefalù
Where to eat, what to see, how to get around, and what to know before you go.
This is our guide to Cefalù — Craig and Rhys writing as people who have been coming here for years, not visitors who passed through once and wrote it up on a flight home. We are building a portfolio of 23 properties in the old town and the Madonie, several already open, which means we eat in these restaurants, hike these trails, and tell guests the same things week after week. We decided to write it down properly.
The guide covers four areas: where to eat and drink, what to see and do, how to get active, and how to plan the practical side of a trip. None of it is a list of highlights scraped from review sites. All of it is what we actually tell people.
One honest note: Cefalù is a real town with real tourists. It is not undiscovered, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is where to go when the crowds thin out, and what is worth the queue and what is not.
